Single Tooth Implant Cost in Hyderabad
By Dr. Ram Mohan S, MDS (Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery), with Dr. CH Vyshnavi, MDS (Prosthodontics & Implantology) · V R Dental Maxillofacial Surgery & Implant Center, Kukatpally and Bowrampet
A complete single-tooth implant at V R Dental starts from ₹25,000. That covers the three parts you actually need: the implant fixture placed in the bone, the abutment that connects to it, and the crown you chew on. Most single-tooth cases fall between ₹25,000 and ₹65,000, and the difference comes down to the implant system and the crown material. If the site needs bone grafting, that is quoted as a separate line, never folded in afterwards.
The implant is placed by Dr. Ram Mohan, an MDS oral and maxillofacial surgeon, and the crown is planned and fitted by Dr. Vyshnavi, an MDS prosthodontist. Both work from the same CBCT scan, so the tooth you end up with is planned before the implant goes in.

What a single tooth implant quote should include
When you compare implant prices across Hyderabad, check what the figure actually covers. A low headline price is often the fixture alone. Our written quote for one tooth lists:
- Consultation and CBCT scan: the 3D scan that shows bone height, width and the position of nerves and sinus. This is what makes the placement predictable.
- Implant fixture and surgery: the titanium post and the procedure to place it. On its own this starts from ₹15,000.
- Abutment: the connector between fixture and crown.
- Crown: the visible tooth, usually zirconia or porcelain-fused-to-metal. See zirconia crown prices for the material options.
- Bone graft or sinus lift, only if needed: quoted separately after the scan. See bone grafting and sinus lift.
- Follow-up visits: the review after surgery and the crown fitting.
You will not be asked to add an item to the quote mid-treatment. If the scan shows something that changes the plan, we tell you before anything starts.
What changes the cost of one implant
- Implant system: we place Osstem and Adin. Both are established systems; your quote names which one is used so the record stays with you for life.
- Crown material: a layered zirconia crown for a front tooth costs more than a monolithic zirconia or PFM crown for a back tooth.
- Bone at the site: a tooth lost years ago, or lost to infection, often leaves less bone. Grafting adds a step and a cost.
- Timing: an implant placed in the same visit as the extraction can avoid a second surgery. See immediate dental implants.
- Position in the mouth: a front tooth needs more work on the gum shape and crown aesthetics than a molar.
Single tooth implant vs bridge: what you are really paying for
A three-unit bridge is the usual alternative for one missing tooth. It costs less at the start and needs no surgery. The trade-off is that the two neighbouring teeth have to be cut down to carry it, and a bridge typically needs replacing after some years. An implant leaves the neighbouring teeth untouched and, with healthy gums, the fixture is designed to last for decades.
For a young patient with healthy neighbouring teeth, an implant is usually the better long-term decision. For a patient whose neighbouring teeth already need crowns, a bridge can make sense. We go through both honestly: implants vs bridges vs dentures.
How a single tooth implant is done at V R Dental
- Assessment and CBCT scan: Dr. Ram Mohan checks the bone and gum; Dr. Vyshnavi plans the final crown position. You receive the written quote at this visit.
- Implant placement: done under local anaesthesia in about 45 to 60 minutes. Where the bone allows, a temporary tooth may be fitted the same day so you do not leave with a gap at the front.
- Healing: the fixture bonds with the bone over roughly three months. Most patients return to work the next day.
- Abutment and crown: a digital or conventional impression is taken and the custom crown is fitted. The bite is checked so the new tooth loads evenly.
- Review: a check after fitting, then six-monthly reviews like any other tooth.
Who is a good candidate for a single tooth implant
- Adults whose jaw growth is complete
- Healthy gums, or gum disease treated and stable
- Enough bone at the site, or bone that can be rebuilt with a graft
- Controlled diabetes and other medical conditions; we coordinate with your physician where needed
- Non-smokers, or smokers willing to stop around the surgery; smoking is the single biggest risk to implant healing

Questions patients ask about single tooth implants
How much does a single tooth implant cost in Hyderabad?
At V R Dental, a complete single-tooth implant (fixture, abutment and crown) starts from ₹25,000. Most cases fall between ₹25,000 and ₹65,000 depending on the implant system and the crown material. Bone grafting, if needed, is quoted separately.
Does the price include the crown?
Our single-tooth implant quote lists the fixture, abutment and crown as separate lines so you can see what each costs. The figure we quote for the complete tooth includes all three.
Which is cheaper, a single tooth implant or a bridge?
A bridge usually costs less at the start because it needs no surgery. Over the long term an implant often works out comparable or better value, because a bridge needs two healthy neighbouring teeth to be cut down and typically has to be replaced after some years.
How long does a single tooth implant take from start to finish?
Usually three to six months. The implant is placed in one visit and left to bond with the bone for about three months, then the crown is fitted. Where the bone and gum allow, an immediate implant can shorten this.
Is getting a single implant painful?
The surgery is done under local anaesthesia, so you feel pressure but not pain. Most patients describe the following few days as mild soreness managed with ordinary painkillers.
Can I get the implant the same day my tooth is removed?
In selected cases, yes. If the socket is healthy and there is enough bone, Dr. Ram Mohan can place the implant immediately after extraction, which avoids a second surgery. A CBCT scan decides this.
Which implant brands do you use?
We place Osstem and Adin implant systems. Both are established systems with long clinical track records, and your quote names the system used so the record stays with you.
How long does a single tooth implant last?
With healthy gums and regular check-ups, the implant fixture is designed to last for decades. The crown on top is subject to normal wear and may need replacing after many years.
Is EMI available for a single tooth implant?
Yes. EMI through Bajaj Finance is available at both clinics. Ask at the front desk when you receive your quote.
