Our story
V R Dental opened in 2017 in Kukatpally, Hyderabad, with a simple premise: implants, full mouth rehabilitation and jaw surgery are specialist work, and patients deserve to have them planned and performed by the people trained for exactly that.
Much of Hyderabad’s dentistry was, and still is, built around the general practice — one clinician managing everything from cleanings to implants. That model works for routine care. It works far less well when a case involves bone loss, multiple missing teeth, a failing bite or a jaw that no longer functions comfortably. Those cases need a prosthodontist who understands how a rebuilt mouth must function for decades, and a surgeon trained to work in and around the jaw with precision.
We built this practice to bring those disciplines under one roof, and to set one standard from the first day: no treatment begins until a specialist has assessed the whole picture and explained the plan.
That standard has not changed since 2017. It is the reason patients who compare clinics carefully tend to find their way to us, and the reason many of them stay with us for years.
What specialist-led means here
Every treatment at V R Dental is planned and performed by an MDS specialist. Not supervised. Not reviewed afterwards. Planned and performed.
An MDS (Master of Dental Surgery) is a three-year postgraduate qualification in a single discipline, earned after the BDS degree. The two specialties at the centre of our practice are the ones that matter most for complex care:
- Prosthodontics — the specialty of replacing and restoring teeth so that the result looks natural, functions correctly and lasts. This is the discipline behind implant crowns, full arch rehabilitation and bite reconstruction.
- Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery — the surgical specialty of the mouth, jaws and face. This is the discipline behind implant placement in difficult bone, bone grafting, wisdom tooth removal, jaw pathology and facial trauma.
Why does this matter to you?
- For dental implants, success depends on where the implant is placed and how the final tooth is designed. A surgeon plans the placement; a prosthodontist plans the restoration. At V R Dental, both are in the same room.
- For full mouth rehabilitation, the sequence, the bite, the materials and the long-term maintenance all need to be decided before the first tooth is touched. This is prosthodontic planning in its most demanding form.
- For maxillofacial surgery and TMJ problems, accurate diagnosis is half the treatment. A surgeon trained in jaw anatomy and function will often find what a general examination misses.
We also handle complex root canals and difficult wisdom tooth removals — the cases that are often referred out from general practices — because they belong in specialist hands.
How we plan every case
If there is one habit that defines this practice, it is this: we plan before we treat.
Assessment. Every new patient begins with a specialist consultation and the imaging the case actually needs — not a standard set, but what is required to see the problem clearly. For implant and rehabilitation cases this usually means 3D imaging so we can evaluate bone, nerves and sinus position before anything is decided.
Planning. We work out the full treatment sequence, the options available to you, and what each one means for function, appearance and longevity. Where there is more than one sound approach, you hear about all of them.
Transparency. You receive a written plan before treatment begins: what will be done, in what order, over what timeline, and what to expect at each stage. Nothing is added midway without a conversation.
Follow-up. Implants and rehabilitations are long-term commitments, for you and for us. Review appointments are part of the plan, not an afterthought, and we keep records that let us track how your treatment is holding up over the years.
We use Osstem and Adin implant systems — both established, well-documented systems with long clinical track records and readily available components, which matters when a restoration needs attention ten years from now.

Dr. Vyshnavi is the prosthodontist behind every restoration at V R Dental. Her specialty is the design of teeth that work: implant crowns and bridges, full mouth rehabilitation, smile rehabilitation and the reconstruction of worn or collapsed bites. She leads treatment planning for every implant and rehabilitation case, deciding how the final result should look and function before surgery is scheduled. Dr. Ram Mohan — MDS Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon & Implant Specialist
Dr. Ram Mohan is the surgeon of the practice. His work covers implant placement including complex and grafted cases, surgical wisdom tooth removal, jaw joint (TMJ) disorders, jaw pathology and facial trauma. He performs the surgical phase of every implant and rehabilitation case, working from the plan agreed with Dr. Vyshnavi so that placement and final restoration are designed together rather than in isolation.

Growing with Hyderabad
In September 2026 we opened our second clinic in Bowrampet, on Simhapuri Colony Main Road. The north-west of the city — Bachupally, Nizampet, Mallampet, Pragathi Nagar, Gandi Maisamma and Bollaram — has grown rapidly, and specialist-led dental care had not kept pace with it. Rather than send patients across the city, we brought the practice to them.
What has not changed is everything that matters. The same specialists. The same rule that every case is planned and performed by an MDS specialist. The same written plan before treatment, and the same follow-up after it.
What patients can expect
An honest opinion. If a tooth can be saved, we say so. If a treatment you have been quoted elsewhere is not necessary, we say that too. We do not recommend implants where a simpler solution will serve you well.
Clarity. You will understand your diagnosis, your options and your plan before you commit to anything. We would rather spend an extra consultation explaining than have you agree to something you are unsure about.
No over-treatment. Our specialists are trained to do complex work — which is exactly why they know when it is not needed.
A long-term relationship. Most of what we do is meant to last decades. We plan for that, we follow up on it, and we are here when you need us — this year and in ten years.

How many specialists work at V R Dental?
